WHO WE ARE
Music players "SPIELEN" is a non-profit association that provides live classical music experiences to people of all ages. We are a group of professional and experienced amateur music players, who are willing to volunteer time and resources to music activities for people who have some difficulties of attending formal classical music concerts, especially babies, toddlers, and children.
Most of our members are professional music players, and some have experiences in teaching music to parents and children.
SPIELEN traces its origins back to 1995, an professional pianist who also studies child psychology, and four of her friends.
SPIELEN is certified by Ota-ku, Tokyo as a social educational organization.
WHAT WE DO
We have live concerts at public halls and facilities in Tokyo, featuring classical music, children's songs, populer music, etc.
Our 10 year's activities in this area have proved that musical experience in childhood enhances children's ability of sensibility and music acceptance.
We hope to enrich children's life and relax parents' minds, and deepen the bond between parents and children through our activities.
- Pofessional and experienced amateur music players who agree our concept perform classical music, children's songs, populer music, etc.
- Using public halls and institutions, and thanks to members' good will, we provide classical concerts without admission or at very low price.
- Our concerts include some experimental activities such as storytelling, reading picture books, and visual image projection accompanied by live classical music.
OUR OTHER ACTIVITIES
We also volunteer our time to mini concerts in kindergardens, nursery schools, day-care centers, public institutions for parents with children, etc.
